SUPPORT STAFF

Can you help promote and manage our Bar (Duck and Apply) at the Village Hall!

Location: Bromham Village Hall, Village Road

Hours: Part Time (must be available Friday evenings and weekends)

Salary: hourly rate (dependent upon experience)

We are looking for a Manager for our in-house Bar (the “Duck and Apple”) at Bromham Village Hall, managing bar events linked to our bookings – typically at weekends.

We are looking for someone who does not just manage a bar but takes ownership of it.

The Role

As Bar Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the weekend venue, ensuring every guest enjoys a great experience while maintaining the highest standards of service, and professionalism. You will lead from the front, creating an atmosphere that keeps customers coming back.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all evening/weekend bar operations.
  • Hold responsibility for alcohol licensing compliance and support the premises licence application.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Manage stock ordering and inventory control.
  • Ensure excellent presentation, cleanliness, and health & safety standards.
  • Work closely with the Village Hall trustees to help shape the future of the business.

About You

You will be someone who enjoys taking ownership and thrives in a growing business; you will have:

  • A valid Personal Licence to sell alcohol (preferable, but not essential)
  • Previous experience managing a licensed venue or bar.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of stock control, ordering, and licensing compliance
  • A passion for hospitality and creating outstanding customer experiences.
  • The confidence to solve problems.
  • A hands-on approach with a positive, energetic attitude
