About the Trustees
The Village Hall is managed by a Committee of Trustees, made up of both elected members and representatives from user groups. Trustees are responsible for:

Acting in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries

Complying with the governing document and relevant legislation

Maintaining the financial stability of the charity

Ensuring accurate records and accounts are kept

Overseeing the maintenance and safe operation of the property
Meeting Schedule
Meetings are held currently on 2nd Tuesday or 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm unless agreed otherwise by the trustees.

Guidance for Village Hall Committees
Trustees are expected to:

Follow the governing document (trust deed)

Attend scheduled meetings

Act collectively and seek committee approval before signing contracts

Keep written minutes of decisions

Ensure the treasurer provides regular financial reports and an annual budget

Maintain adequate insurance for the property and committee

Seek professional advice when needed

Act with care and prudence—avoid committing funds the charity does not have

Ensure the property is properly maintained

Keep all licences up to date
